First stop: Ajax Cafe in Port Hadlock for a fantastic dinner. You get to wear a hat with dinner - any hat you want! - So we had one with each part of the meal...

Next: Lake Crescent, in the smack dab middle of the northern half of the Olympic Peninsula. Couldn't have asked for better weather. We camped out, hiked around, lounged with books in the sun, typical "will not think about anything " stuff.

Even though Reba and I had literally just gotten back from backpacking through Costa Rica not more than two weeks prior, we never give up a chance to slink around the forest. I'm a big fan of the (almost) knee high wool hiking socks. Reba likes to pick her teeth with firewood. Totally hot.

Last Stop: Dungeness Spit in Sequim....
