Day 2 - Friday, July 27, 2007
Our first glances of the mountain - Panic Peak looms above us as we navigate between the trees.
The goat I almost ran in to until Terry told me to stop and look up.
Outta the trees and into sub-alpine - the hike to the ridge before dropping down into the glacier

This was home for the night on Snow Bowl - we found a big wall of rock to try and shield us from the wind. Randy is digging out a platform for the tent floor. Us on the left, Terry and Kris on the left
One last adjustment before bed ... building a snow wall around the base of the tent to keep out the draft - we brought the summer tent, not the mountaineering tent, so we had more ventilation than we really wanted ...
